A major Encounter.

After lazing about in my yard for the better part of the day, me and my fellow adventure-seeking friends ; decided to put on our “indiana jones “hats and set off to the mountain forest.

The journey was quiet, filled with beautiful distractions and mirages of our deepest darkest fantasies all ushering us to the majestic forest.

We met a nymph along the way, she was beautiful and passion radiated from her eyes, we exchanged niceties and bade her farewell. Hoping to see her on our way back.

As we embarked upon the quest. We were soon joined by a fellow warlock who led us enthusiastically to our chill spot. Where we set up Camp. After exchanging pleasantries and almost exchanging plans our ambiance was cut short.

Something was creeping in the bushes. My buddy the warlock gave one look and the look he sent me left an impression that confirmed the worst we feared had indeed come true.

The atmosphere suddenly changed, as the air became heavy and the bushes stirred,a strong musky smell reeked in the air. It could not be mistaken or compared to any other. To our left was a Bull elephant hiding discrepantly  Charging at us at full speed. His ears were outstretched towards at us while he majestically blew his trumpet.

My humble colleagues took to our heels. As panic ensued between us and the jumbo as to who had the right of way. Turns out we had set camp right along his ancestral migration route. Turns out he wanted back every inch of his route. He Charged at us to reclaim his right of way which we had sat on directly and unknowingly.

In a wag of a ducks tail, we broke camp and fled like the Israelites during Passover, on short notice. Chaos ensued as every tom dick and harry scampered for their safety but in the eye of the storm i had to find my calm so i firmly gripped the camera, aimed, and Bam! … Bam! Thank me later for the amazingly dangerous shots.

To explain the feeling its exhilarating and exciting at the same. Time. Check the video below…

Never try this . at home. And after we got this golden clip. We happily whisked off with my boys laughing off. After all Indiana Jones had gotten his fair share of adventure. So til next time. Keep it natural and dont hurt the jumbos. Toodles FAM.

The Full Moon, an Insight Into her heart.

I would love to talk of the moon, without talking about the sun,

to talk about peace, without thinking of war,

See the sun radiates X- rays while the moon radiates F- rays,

Her frequencies are low, so low you ought to hear her blow,

such a blow she deals us and all other living creatures,

going in, drawing the most Basic features inside us,

poking deep and peeking at our most hidden thoughts in the syringe that is drawn from within,

Folding us from inside out and crunching on us like a bag of chips without making a sound!!

GOD damn! SHE IS LOW! SHE HITS YOU AND YOU WONT EVEN KNOW!

Yesterday there was a Full Moon.

The drunkard ached for the caress of her bottle,

the coward slouched at the comfort of her fox hole,

The writer got a foundation from a foothold,

she works…

Awakening Africa the sleeping Giant

Africa Determined to awaken

Africa Determined to awaken

We all have dreams,

mine is for Africa,

the land of determination ,

of the dextrous minds clogged with dependent solutions,

who will wake up their sleeping intuition?

it is time to ring the sleeping population, Alarm!

the arrow aims at  6:30 but we will never have 911 here due to low infrastructure,

its a factor when we depend on buildings bigger than a young mans dream to open a chapter,

when we spend our money on Monsanto to kill our population with their tractors,

young men with loitering in the streets brandishing degrees but none to usher the rapture,

it is time to ring the sleeping population, Alarm!

momma still wondering if education is a key factor,

while they closed opportunities and bribed out the tender`s,

they teach us what they want but not what they have ta,

a pocket never  full_filled  , give us your offering well give you an offer

it is time to ring the sleeping population ,Alarm!

buy a ticket to heaven before you die of the hunger ,Wake up !

its time to open up you minds use this information hiccup and take up,

arms , fight the hatred and the lies that they taught us,

Ours Gold God they sold us to make us beggars!

it is time to ring the sleeping population,Alarm!

to die of hunger because of ignorance; i would rather steal and get caught,

i wont be corrupt as they are; so let them bar me and play lost

before i  hate my brother because of tribe or religion; let me be ex-communicated and  be forgot,

en like the rotten region and religion  which kills my-self because it is not like it,

so let us learn to accept differences,

id rather live than work for hatred

id rather love than feel pain

id rather smoke pot than be sane

be different than be same

id rather wake up than sleep up

for this is the Africa that i want

A free love-spread land somewhere in the distant

Afro_utopia.

Diary of the Buni hub manager

this info is useful for anyone who plans to use the hub for any purpose so i feel i should share it

TANZICT

After one year working as community and hub manager at Buni there is a lot to tell. It has been a tremendous experience working at Buni hub. Working as a hub manager is one of those rare jobs that come without job descriptions until you, yourself you decide to create one. Some few things we have learnt in our first year of managing Buni hub.

pic1Composition of Buni Community, Buni as a community is composed by different kind of people with different potentials and backgrounds. We have been categorizing them  in few working groups so that we can add value to these individual groups through our daily activities at Buni. The largest group of Buni community is the students group which takes over 35 percent of the population, mostly college and university students and the smallest group is employed individuals who are using the hub on their free hours…

Kick Starting the Tech Community in Tanzania

tanzania hack trip here we come

Indigo Trust

The tech community in Tanzania is still small, but there is growing interest in the potential of technology to stimulate economic growth and contribute to social change.  Indigo hopes that it has begun to contribute to this ecosystem through awarding a £30,000 grant to KINU, alongside Google Africa funding to support a locally initiated innovation/Hacker and Pre-incubation space.  What impressed me the most about the team, is that they have already successfully mobilised the tech community to some extent e.g. 300 people attended their Bar Camp (which sold out in 2 days) and a similar number attended a Hackathon they arranged.  They also encouraged Apps4Africa to come to Tanzania, brought in industry experts on climate change and ran a follow up session to provide support with submissions.  A Tanzanian entrant eventually won, which astonished East Africa (who naturally expected the Kenyans to win).  We wish them every success in…
