TRIBUTE TO A FRIEND

Dear friend,

A man is not an island,i remember my pre-school teacher used to shout this saying back when i was but a boy and the meaning ..i kept it with me till now,A man when i find it applicable in my situation .An island can survive alone,it can endure the harsh sea tides ,the scorching sun on its head,the long windy days and the chilling cold night.A human cant !! ,and if you try you will run mad and your mind will be envisioned with hallucinations of people or imaginary friends in order to supplement what is not there,why ? because we need each other.. ?because we were created that way …? no! its is because we need each other you may ask why of course ..the answer is that we are not perfect ..human beings are  faulty and as a result we need someone who cant make the same mistake as us to make less mistakes or more mistakes than us in order to fill in the loop that we have .in the layman language ,we compliment each other .there are many types of friendships and many types of friends ad hoc its so funny how friendship has evolved from the one simple friendship that our folks used to know ,to crazy new friendships that we get ourselves into and hear about everyday like; friends with benefits,best of friends,best-friends for life,just friends and other weird materialistic type of friendship, but this my experience is far more than those ..have you ever met a person and you feel like you’ve known them the whole of your life ? a person who seems to understand what you have to put across no matter which language you use? understands you and always has the right words to say at the right time ,a person who when they’re about to leave you will feel sad and  definitely they will leave a vacuum,a person whom you can squeeze into the space in your heart next to your big brothers .I have met this person coincidentally and he might not be the funniest guy in the world ,he might not be the smartest,neither the craziest but every time he is around you feel happy,normal ,understood and lively. and its like you feel when they leave the will take all that with them, that which makes you soo happy and lively.And the person who you feel so alike to with will be no longer there ,theyll be like a cake which you eat only to be left with the delicious sweet taste in your mouth and as it wears out you only remain with the memory of how sweet it was,this is not sad ..the truth however is ,nothing lasts forever but for my friend there is no gift out there that i can give give you which can really explain or bring out what my heart really feels and my gratitude and i hope that this small tribute can best explain my words and world,if you really have leave .you might as well leave and wherever you go , spread the love.stay happy. Do not however forget the wonderful memories youve left behind.You have been an inspiration,a wonderful friend ,a blessing .a true gift of nature .share that with the world .good bye Tanner .we will miss you.
